SANTA MONICA, Calif., June 8 (UPI) — U.S. cable network Nickelodeon says it will start airing its new live-action comedy series “Bucket & Skinner’s Epic Adventures” next month.

Scheduled to premiere July 1, the show is about two lifelong best friends on a “never-ending quest for awesomeness while dealing with everyday dilemmas,” the network said in a synopsis.

The Southern California-set series stars Taylor Gray and Dillon Lane as the title characters.

“‘Bucket & Skinner’s Epic Adventures’ is a classic buddy comedy set against the backdrop of a fantasy California beach town,” Marjorie Cohn, Nickelodeon’s president of development and original programming, said in a statement Tuesday. “Taylor and Dillon have great comedic chemistry and you can’t help rooting for their characters, as they face every crazy situation with endless enthusiasm. And our audience will love to see ‘True Jackson, VP’s’ Ashley Argota in a brand-new role as Bucket’s object of affection.”
